Collaborative Teaching Session on Criminal Procedure Code

On 25th March 2022, Friday, Assistant Professor Ruby Luis engaged in a offline collaborative teaching session for 3rd year LLB (Degree) students with Assistant Professor Yamini Dalvi in classroom number 7 at G. R. Kare College of Law.
The topic covered was F.I.R under Criminal Procedure Code. Assistant professors Yamini Dalvi introduced the concept and Assistant Professor Ruby Luis there by dwelled into the details of the concept.
The concept of FIR under section 154 Cr.P.C was explained in details by Assistant professor Ruby Luis. She explained in order to initiate an investigation into a cognizable offence or case, a police officer must first receive the First Information Report (FIR) pertaining to the cognizable offence.
Further it was elaborated to the students that every information relating to the commission of a cognizable offence, if given orally to an officer in charge of a police station, shall be reduced to writing by him or under his direction, and be read Over to the informant; and every such information, whether given in writing or reduced to writing.


The aim of the collaborative session was to enlighten the students about the practical and theoretical aspects of an FIR and as such an experienced faculty engaged a collaborative session. Outcome of this session was the students of 3rd year LLB (Degree) understood and could comprehend the details of the concept of FIR under Cr.P.C.
There were 27 students present for the collaborative session.
