COMMUNAL HARMONY WEEK 2023

VVMs G.R.Kare College of Law commemorated the Communal Harmony Week from.19th Jan till 26th Jan 2023.

During the week, the Constitutional Law Club of the college along with the NSS Unit and the Literary Society organised various cultural and literary activities.
The week was flagged off by NSS Programme officer of RMS Higher Secondary Madam Sonia Kalekar along with the Principal of G.R.Kare College Dr. Saba V.M Da Silva, HoD Shriharsha Innavali and other teacher in charges from Kare College.

Principal gave the opening address by highlighting the importance of harmony among different cultures in India and with specific reference to Goa. Assistant Professor Yamini Dalvi programme co-ordinator spoke on the importance and relevance of Communal Harmony in educational institutions.

Activities conducted were – Quiz Competition, patriotic singing, folk dance, traditional fashion show, Constitutional Law Club logo making competition and Elocution Competition.

Principal delivered a short speech and thus the Communal Harmony Week ended on this special day.

  • Quiz Competition on Fundamental rights and Duties
  • Patriotic singing
  • Folk dance- representing States of India
  • Traditional fashion show- theme- “sare jahan se acha Hindustan hamara”
  • Elocution Competition
  • Constitutional Law Club logo making competition and Elocution Competition- Title- “Communal Harmony key to Education”

With the objective of encouraging the young voters to take part in political process ‘National Voters Day’ awareness was carried out on 25th January 2023. The fundamental duty of casting vote and encouraging the young voters with the theme of “Proud to be voter- Ready to vote”was given importance.

The week concluded with a grand celebration of the 74th Republic Day on 26th Jan. Preamble was read among the students and staff on the Republic Day followed by other cultural activities. The motive behind this activity was to create  awareness of the preamble and the content of the preamble.

Dignitaries present on Republic Day  were Chief Guest Professor of Law “Fernando Loureiro Bastos” President of the Institute of Judicial Cooperation, University of Lisbon, Portugal and Guest of Honour Professor of Law  Pedro Caridade de Freitas University of Lisbon, Portugal Principal delivered a speech on fundamental rights and duties and the relevance of unfurling of national flag.
