Intra-Class Negotiation Competition 2025-2026

VVM’s G.R. Kare College of Law Moot Court and ADR Society successfully organized the Intra-Class Negotiation Competition for the academic year 2025-2026. The event aimed to hone the alternative dispute resolution skills of aspiring legal professionals, fostering a culture of collaborative problem-solving and strategic communication. Orientation Session Prior to the commencement of the competition, a comprehensive Orientation Session was conducted by Dr. Shruti Nadkarni, HoD and Vice Principal of GRKCL. Dr. Nadkarni provided the participants with essential insights into the nuances of negotiation

The distinction between competitive and collaborative bargaining. The importance of identifying underlying interests over rigid positions.
Effective communication techniques and “BATNA” (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement) strategies.
The competition set a leveling playing field for the 20 diverse teams of students that participated from different classes across the institution. The competition was organized into a series of progressive Qualifying Rounds, ensuring that only the most consistent and skilled negotiators advanced to the final stage Semi-Finals round the intensity peaked as the remaining four teams battled for a spot in the finale which
include Nonita Aguiar & Tanisha Dalal, Steven Fernandes & Rebecca D’souza, Rama Faldessai & Aaisha Bi and Shruti Kolambkar & Anushka Sillyketh. The Judges for Semi final comprised of Adv. Maria Tereza Barreto and Adv. Vinora Desouza who judges the round meticulously.
