STUDENTS’ COUNCIL INAUGURAL CEREMONY 2023-24

The inauguration of the Students’ Council of VVM’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law and swearing in ceremony of the elected members of the Council for the academic year 2023-2024 was held in the college premises on 10^th August 2023. The program began with a welcome song by the students of F.Y.B.A.LL.B., followed by the lighting of the lamp at the hands of the Chief Guest, Mr. Irshad Agha, Principal District & Sessions Judge, First-Vice President of Vidya Vikas Mandal, Adv. Pritam Morais, In-charge Principal, Dr. Goretti Simoes, HOD, Dr. Shruti Nadkarni, Students’s Council & Cultural Committee In-charge Asst. Prof. Ashmita Naik, and General Secretary, Mr. Sergei Barreto.

Adv. Pritam Morais welcomed the Chief Guest and enlightened all the students with his inspiring words. Asst. Prof. Ashmita Naik, introduced and administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of the Students’ Council. Dr. Shruti Nadkarni and Asst. Prof. Ruby Luis, presented badges to the members of the Students’ Council. Mr. Sergei Barreto proposed the list of activities for the academic year 2023-2024.

Dr. Goretti Simoes, introduced the Chief Guest Mr. Irshad Agha. The Chief Guest, in his address emphasized on the role and importance of the Students’ Council. He shared his experiences, encouraged pro bono cases, development of profound reading culture and also addressed pertinent youth issues.

The program concluded with acknowledgements and memento presented by Adv. Pritam Morais and vote of thanks proposed by Asst. Prof. Ashmita Naik. The program ended with the singing of national anthem.
