FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON PARTICIPATORY METHODS IN RESEARCH & EDUCATION

The MIT School of Government, Pune, organized a one-day Faculty Development Programme in association with the G. R. Kare College of Law in Margao, on “Participatory Methods in Research and Education” on May 28th, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. On the same day, the G. R. Kare College of Law, Margao signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the MIT School of Government, Pune to strengthen academic links and thrive in the educational sphere. Dr. Saba Da Silva, Principal of G. R. Kare College of Law, and Dr. K. Gireesan, Director of MIT School of Government, signed the document.

 

Dr. Saba Da Silva, Principal of GRKCL, commenced the session with a welcoming statement and a floral greeting to the dignitaries. Mr. Ashish Lal, Head of Promotions, Faculty of Governance, gave a presentation about the MIT School of Government and the various projects it has undertaken. The technical session of the Faculty Development Programme was led by Dr. K. Gireesan. He spoke on the application of participatory methodologies in research and education. The seminar was extremely instructive and inspiring to those who attended.

 

Faculty members from several higher educational institutions in Goa, as well as faculty members from G. R. Kare College of Law, participated in the Faculty Development Programme. Certificates of participation were distributed to the attendees. Mr. S. N. Inavalli, Head of the Department, concluded the programme with a vote of gratitude.
