
Govt. of Goa commemorates Samvidhan Hatya Diwas in association with GRKCL
The Government of Goa in association with VVM’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao – Goa commemorated “Samvidhan Hatya Divas”, on 25th June 2025, a significant day in India’s history, in Ganesha Daivadnya Auditorium of Vidya Vikas Mandal’s G. R. Kare College of Law, Margao. Shri. Bhushan Savoikar, Director, Directorate of Higher Education delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest of the programme was Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, who addressed the gathering with a powerful and thought-provoking speech. In his keynote address, he focused on the impact of the Emergency (1975-1977) on Indian democracy and constitutional governance. He stated that “Samvidhan Hatya Divas” is not just a day of remembrance, but a call to action — to protect the Constitution from any future threats.

Among the other dignitaries who were present at the gathering were Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Goa, Shri. Digamber Kamat, the Honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Margao Constituency. Shagun Velip, Director, Art and Culture, Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS Secretary, Art and Culture, Shri. Deepak Shirodkar, Chairperson, MMC and other eminent people.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Nitin Kunkolienkar, President Vidya Vikas Mandal
