G.R. Kare College of Law, Margao did exceedingly well at the last law examinations and featured amongst the students winning laurels at the 29th annual convocation of the Goa University held at Dr. Shamaprasad Mukherjee indoor stadium, Taleigao on Tuesday.
Students Sonali Ghadi ranked first at the LL.B. Degree Examination winning the Pandurang Mulgaonkar prize, the Roque Correia Afonso prize and the V.M. Salgaocar Foundation prize, while Isha Madanmohan Audi secured the V.B. Coutinho Gold Medal for obtaining the highest marks at the subject of Legal Theory at the LL.M. Examination besides securing the second rank.
Other winners were Vishwanath Gadnis, who secured second rank at the LL.B.(Hons) examination and Shruti Naik, who secured third rank at the LL.M. Examination.
Awards were received at the hands of Goa Governor Dr. Mridula Sinha, who is the Chancellor of the University. President of India Pranab Mukherjee was the Chief Guest while, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was the Special Guest at the occasion.
The results of the LL.B.(Hons) Programme was 100 per cent and the standards of the institution had grown remarkably and the college offers the five-year B.A.LL.B., three-year LL.B. Degree and the two-year LL.M. Programme and even the Ph.D. Programme at its Research Centre.
