Clarifications and Deadlines for the Juris Open 2017 Moot Court Competition

  1. In the second paragraph of the JURIS OPEN MOOT PROBLEM, the following clarification is made:“In June 2016, 13 HIV positive children, all orphans living in Shishuseva, were admitted in June 2016 in Std. V, VII and IX in St. Peter’s High School, a nearby school in Uttar Nagar.” Will be substituted with “In June 2016, 13 HIV positive children, all orphans living in Shishuseva, were admitted to Std. V, VII and IX at St. Peter’s High School, a nearby school in Uttar Nagar, which receives aid from the State Government.
  2. The norms in Uttar Nagar should be considered pari materia to the norms followed in the State of Goa.

“Kindly note that the written submissions for the moot court competition should reach us by 28th January 2017. The participants are requested to send four copies of the written submissions on each side. 

Further note the following clarification in the rules of the Moot Court Competition:

The provision 3.3 “Each team shall compulsorily present oral arguments for both sides – and respondent…” shall read as “Each team shall compulsorily present oral arguments for either side- petitioner or respondent…”
